THE PLACES I VISIT TO ENJOY THE ARTS
The places I visit to enjoy the arts
There are lots of theatres, museums ,monuments
in my city. St-Petersburg is a wonderful treasure of art Fistly, I enjoy visiting theatres. I can hear
an opera or watch a ballet in the Mariinsky Theatre or the Maly Opera House. I
enjoy the dramatic art in the Alexandrinsky Theatre. If I want to listen to rock
stars I will visit concert halls. (Octyabrsky) Secondly, I am fond of visiting
the Hermitage. It contains the richest collection of paintings,
sculptures, furniture and other works of art in the world.Thirdly, I feel
excited when I see the monument to Peter the Great,the Admiralty,the Summer
Garden,the Hermitage I enjoy the beauty of bridges, canals,palaces and the
unique architecture of my city. I live in a really cultural city where I can
visit a lot of places connected with arts.
FAMOUS PEOPLE
My favourite famous people in arts.
There are a
lot of famous people in the arts. Prokofiev, Bach[ba:k],
Beethoven[beithouvn],Mozart[moutsa:t] and Tchaikovsky are well-known in music.
Lermontov,Pushkin and Tolstoy gave masterpieces of literature to the world.
Repin, Shishkin,Ivazovsky,Brjullov are outstanding Russuin artists.
The person who I admire most of all is Ivan Ivazovsky. He lived in the 19 th century.
His works are displayed in the Russian museum in St.Petersburg and the
Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.His famous painting The Ninth Wave shows the
conflict between water and wind ,we see people fighting with sea.He wrote
romantic seascapes. Secondly, I am fond of paintings by Leonardo da Vinci the artist
of Renaissance. His work Mona Liza is a real masterpiece.We can see his
painting Madonna with a flower in the Hermitage.Moreover, Iam intrested in
music written by Tchaikovsky for ballet Swan lake and Sleeping Beauty.In my opinion all these people made a great
contribution in the arts of the world.
